| I don't like any of her music and I barely even hear her whenever or wherever I would go, the only time I might hear her music, is her most popular song shake it off as djs often make remixes of it in night clubs, her music is completely not my type, especially that I barely listen to English music for at least 2-3 years. I prefer Polish and Japanese music which is why I don't even know who's popular in English lang music and I barely know rn anyone who's top [maybe outside Dj Khaled cause he's often being memed] |
| Not gonna lie... people go wild over her and I have friends that love her, but I've never really been a huge fan. I don't really go out of my way to listen to her music, but I think most of the songs I've run into from her are love songs that are kinda specific and she's kinda seen as the woman who has had a bunch of boyfriends or something. I can't really relate to any of that, so I think I've just kinda listened to any of the songs I've happened to run into kinda without connecting at all. I think I've heard a few of her songs from her country days and some of her more recent songs. The recent songs are kinda worse for me. I think the only one I can remember right now that I know as hers is Ready For It, because my best friend kept playing it on repeat at some point. I felt like that song sounded so... odd. Like the lyrics were bad girl-ish or "bad bitch"-like, but it's like it didn't fit and she was trying to force that persona onto herself. I just saw that Ready For It was from 2017 and didn't realize it had been that long.;; I went ahead and listened to a more recent song, Bejeweled. This isn't even a love song and I still can't connect. Not fond of the song at all. I don't know. I guess I just don't like her music style regardless of genre. I'm glad others like her though. It seems like she has a good sense of humor though from what I've seen from past things she's done. |

| Taste and audience notwithstanding (also this is an anime forum, people definitely love a different kind of voice / sound), a lot of people who don't like Taylor probably haven't listened to much of her music and only know a select battery of popular songs that occasionally show up on the radio / are sung at karaoke. I'm not a Swiftie by any stretch, but she has a lot of good albums. But congrats OP, you don't like a mainstream pop artist. I've never heard of such contrarianism before. |
